it’s impossible to make it a default app for pdfs on Mac. No prompt, no settings. Please fix this :-)

Great app!
I like its sync with iCloud. Really fast processing of big pdf files. It is worth the money I spent.
It was a perfect tool for viewing and annotating pdfs, and now it became a perfect editing tool. I like the simplicity of the app and how fast and smooth it works with files! Want to wish the app to become the app of the year and the authors to add some minor but very useful things like "copy as table" and “reduce file size”
v2.1 They fixed the copy/crash issue so back up to 4 stars. Can you please add ‘next annotation’ and ‘previous annotation’ buttons to get your 5th star? -- v2.0: Copy page completely crashes the software. Fix that and you’re back up to 4.5 stars. — v1: Great overall. iCloud sync is pretty flawless which makes it great for switching between devices. With the 2nd to latest update introduced some lag when switching apps and jumping back into PDF Expert. I also wish it had buttons for Previous and Next annotation as the sidebar isn’t quite robust enough for large documents with numerous annotations.
PDF Expert 2 replaced Preview as the default PDF reader, annotation, signature, and all-round PDF genie. Highly recommended workhorse for anyone who needs to work frequently with PDFs.
I have been using PDF Expert for about two years now, and it has consistently provided the PDF reading and mark-up capabilities that I need for both personal and work activities. Previously the company I worked for used Acrobat’s product, but PDF provides better mark-up tools plus it works across all platforms—phone, tablet and laptop. I use it every day.
One of my first major complaints is that it doesn’t allow you to add headers or footers. Footers would be really beneficial to me being that I am in in Grad. school and get pdfs that have 100’s of slides and when I print them out to study with it would be easier to reference back to a page number. I feel like that is a very simple request. Second they should allow you to save more colors of hightlighters and more fonts with your prefered font size instead of only allowing 5 colors to choose for.
I work a lot with PDF documents every day. For that reason I have been looking at a lot of apps to do what I need to do. Annotate, sign, edit, print, append files, delete pages, rearrange pages, create custom stamps, etc. etc. Whatever I need to do, I can do with this app. I have tried a lot of other apps, written to their support, but they simpley can not offer the whole package like PDF Expert by Readdle. For example, a lot of apps offer the possibility to sign or edit, but they do not “flatten” the document so you make the document safe that people can not copy your signature! This app does it all. I use it everyday and I am still amazed at the ease of use and all the features it contains. And they keep upgrading and adding more features to it! You got to love it! 5-start hands down! Their support is also fast, responsive and always professional. I use this every day multiple times!
I switched from GoodReader after I bought and iPad Pro and haven’t looked back. The signature function is extremely useful for me — between paperwork I have to sign in my academic job and paperwork I have to sign as POA for an elderly parent, being able to sign electronically really saves time (and I’m no longer paying the annual fee for a web signature service). I also really like the ability to combine pages from different PDFs — great for custom handouts for my students and, again for collecting papework for elder care. The interface for annotation is also very intuitive and flexible, and it’s my go-to application for marking up my undergrad and grad student papers. I can switch easily between pen marks for editing and text boxes for commenting.
I can seamlessly work on my PDFs on my Mac & iOS devices. It works as great as it looks.
Worth Every Penny
Clean, smooth read with good integration with the iPad version. The most recent update added very easy to use and effective text editing capabilities, I suppose it will be a short step from here to extract PDF text directly to Word. Much better than any of the alternatives I tried.
I use this on my mac and on my iPads. They work together great!
PDF Expert is the only PDF Editing Software that I have used which can permanently modify documents. As a result I use it every single day to get the job done. Mac + iPad + IPhone = Brilliant!
Thumbs up for your app.Bought all your app from day one but for PDF Expert how to reduce file size but optimizing PDF quality?
PDF Expert Pro is making progress AND remains so with the current release (v2.01). I look forward to OCR text recognition and other features in future. It still lacks some features that Preview has and, most certainly, Adobe Acrobat Pro has. Regardless it is my default PDF reader least; unless I musrt to turn to the other apps for something more - I have those too. I am also looking forward to improved Apple Pencil support on iOS.
I am amazed at how easy it is to work with PDFs. I had a couple of instances where I had to correct a PDF and was able to cross out the old address and add the new address and it looked good. I didn’t figure out how to “erase” the old address and type in the new, but what I did turned out great and I was happy. Annotating PDFs is also very simple compared to Adobe. I have a magic wand scanner and have to merge the scans into one. This program easily merges these files.
Much more obvious functionality then Adobe and not fragmented into individually charged functionalities. Makes things easier and faster. Much better UI design.
this is one of the best Apps that i have a pleasure working with, it’s easy to open folders and files to upload to Dropbox or any other application that you own.So far this app is taking care what I need to do with my type of work. Thank you for this and other Apps that are available by this company.
