Perfect feature set, but far too buggy
This app is excelllent in theory. It has a much better and simpler layout than Abobe Acrobat with some more useful features. However, at the moment it is extremely buggy. It asks me if I want to set it as my default pdf viewer everytime I open it. It doesn’t ask me if I want to save my changes before closing it, even when the red button has a dot. And it won’t let me undo changes to pdf layouts. Not to mention the crappy merge document open file dialogue, which won’t let me combine two pdfs from different folders. However, the feature set and design are enough to keep me hoping that the next version will be more stable.
Update: They have fixed all of the bugs I originally took issue with and I can confidently reccomend this to any student or professional who uses pdfs regularly. It has become an invaluable part of my student workflow. I use the pen and line tools with my small Wacom tablet to take notes during class. I typically write on professor gap notes, and if necessary I can easily insert a ruled sheet of paper in pdf form between the slides. This program is also fantastic for textbooks because it handles bulky files effortlessly. My only complaint is that the pen and eraser tools can sometimes bug out unexpectedly. Occasionally the eraser causes what you have already written to distort, and the pen’s writing can sometimes not show up until the eraser icon is clicked. These bugs are minor and I would definitely reccomend this app.
